So much can happen in a week.  I got to enjoy a hot and sweaty but enjoyable game with friends and family at the Ranger's Game.

 Father's Day...

Later on in the week, we were invited to a friend's house to fellowship and eat pizza.  I love the Graham's house, because thier house is full of Mrs. Graham's talent.  She is the type of artist I am trying be with my "experiments" at home or would like to try, such as antiquing furniture and such.  Here are couple of small crafty projects I finished this last week as gifts for friends while my husband was gone.

Then when Drew came back from getting licensed to teach concealed handgun classes.  He is in the beginning stages of teaching me...and I'm not too bad at accuracy...just a little shaky :)

Oh..did I mention that the Lord blessed me with the job I and many others have been praying for! I am now an Elementary P.E. Teacher.  I have turned down jobs and stuck it out as a P.E. Aid for 3 years, because I knew God had me there for a reason.  He allowed me to grow in my confidence as a teacher, make friendships with other teachers, and all this time I was getting to know an awesome teacher who I have taking over for now that she is retiring.  God was preparing me for the mission he has given me...to minister to young kids/parents/co-workers/community.  Today he confirmed my thinking of teaching P.E. as my mission.  Like I told the people who hired me, I am about relationships with everyone around me, not just teaching skills.  We had missionaries at our church talking about the call of God.  Genesis 12 talks about Abram departing as the Lord told him. I am departing to a new school and new atmoshere to do what the Lord told me to do.  In Isaiah 41:10, God says to
"Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand."
Then, I go to read my sister-in-law's blog, which spoke of the Great Commision.
Love how God speaks to us when we are in His word and listening.

I am reminded today that wherever we are, we need to encourage others and share with each other the blessings God has given us.  We should stay in fellowship with fellow "branches" to keep us connected and accountable to God.  Life is about relationships.
"I am the vine; you are the branches.  Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit.  For apart from me you can do nothing." John 15:5

It was fun seeing family tonight and my little cousin Jeremiah turned 1! He liked his book I gave him & his mom like the frame I painted for his room....

Let's say he enjoyed his cake...

Excited to go to the Rangers game tomorrow with Drew and Whit&Shawn's church! Hopefully they pull off a win while I'm there.

Blessings

Once again, my sister-in-law has to remind that I have not blogged in 2 years! So, it's time to update.  I was reading my last blog in August of 2010 and just thinking of all the answered prayers that have come since then! I was in a new season of life then because I had just been married; and now I've been married for 2 years but still God brings another new season of life...my 1st job as an Elementary P.E. Teacher in Carroll ISD, the increase in our Cattle Company in which both will possibly allow us to go into the new year of 2013 with our 1st house and not in debt like many young families begin with!  So exciting to see how faithfulness in God's perfect timing works!  How can you not see God's hand?! No, life is not perfect but I will continue to see the blessings of life.  It was even perfect how after I got the phone call from principal that they have chosen to go forward with me as their P.E. teacher, I was on my way to a Laura Story concert where I could relax in God's presence and praise Him while listening to Laura sing, "Blessings". I can only end today with these lyrics:

We pray for blessings
We pray for peace
Comfort for family, protection while we sleep
We pray for healing, for prosperity
We pray for Your mighty hand to ease our suffering
All the while, You hear each spoken need
Yet love us way too much to give us lesser things

'Cause what if Your blessings come through raindrops
What if Your healing comes through tears
What if a thousand sleepless nights
Are what it takes to know You're near
What if trials of this life are Your mercies in disguise

We pray for wisdom
Your voice to hear
And we cry in anger when we cannot feel You near
We doubt Your goodness, we doubt Your love
As if every promise from Your Word is not enough
All the while, You hear each desperate plea
And long that we have faith to believe

'Cause what if Your blessings come through raindrops
What if Your healing comes through tears
What if a thousand sleepless nights
Are what it takes to know You're near
And what if trials of this life are Your mercies in disguise

When friends betray us
When darkness seems to win
We know that pain reminds this heart
That this is not, this is not our home
It's not our home

'Cause what if Your blessings come through raindrops
What if Your healing comes through tears
And what if a thousand sleepless nights
Are what it takes to know You're near
What if my greatest disappointments
Or the achings of this life
Is the revealing of a greater thirst this world can't satisfy
And what if trials of this life
The rain, the storms, the hardest nights
Are Your mercies in disguise
